(“GPL”) is a not-for-profit municipal utility serving nearly 71,000 customers in and around the city of Garland, Texas. In May 2016, GPL contracted Irby to construct the greenfield 138kV Lookout substation. The project scope included all surfacing, grounding, structure erection, bus/equipment installation, cable trenching, conduit systems, testing, and substation site restoration. Irby was assisted by American Site Builders for foundations and footings construction. The project was completed on schedule and to budget in November 2016.
